The Dillon Yacht Club, founded in 1968, is nestled high atop the Colorado Rocky Mountains and noted for being the nation's highest sailing club at an elevation of 9,017 feet above sea level.

The Dillon Yacht Club offers sailing, yacht racing, entertainment, food and special events on beautiful Lake Dillon in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Located just west of the Continental Divide and surrounded by 13,000 ft peaks, you are guaranteed some very exciting sailing conditions. Because of this, Dillon sailors are known to be some of the best in the Rocky Mountain region.

The Dillon Open Regatta
The Dillon Yacht Club extends a warm invitation to all sailors interested in participating in the 2019 Dillon Open Regatta, the world’s highest regatta at 9,017 ft above sea level, on Aug 2nd-4th, 2019. Racing will be held on beautiful Lake Dillon where over 80 competitors will enjoy sunny days and spectacular views of the snow-capped Rocky Mountains.

The Club
The Club has roughly 160 members and growing every year. Our sailing season starts in the first of June with an active schedule of one design racing with events nearly every weekend from June until late September. Our season ends with the year banquet party held at the end of October.

The Racing
Dillon has a very active and competitive racing program. The most popular fleets are the the J/22s and J/24s. Other fleets active in Dillon include Etchells, J-80's, Ensign 22's, Stars, and a small PHRF fleet.

Junior Sailing Program
DYCJSP has created a history of excellent summer sailing programs and is a great way to spend a Colorado summer outside learning a lifelong skill, sailing. We focus on 3 things: safety, fun, & sailing skills. Our classes are for kids ages 10 to 18 of all skill levels.
